So, you run your own site…. It’s running on , and you get bored with this . It’s huge, and it is difficult to edit template to get just what you want…. It’s much more difficult than in ! Beside that, WordPress  has much more qualities – I’ve noticed that my sites in WordPress get better indexed by search engines, and they are placing higher in search engines with less work on them.

So, you have tried all versions of this joomla2wordpress script which you can find on Google, and … nothing… Don’t be sad…. Few days ago, looking for something else, I have found this great Joomla! Export to WordPress Joomla Plugin, and, I must say, it do the job.

Just log in to your Joomla site, and istall this plugin in usual way ( Extensions – Install )…. Go to Components – to WordPress and create .xml  dump, and thats, it. Now, login into your WordPress site, go to Tools  – Import, and from list of options select WordPress…. and all job is done…..

One thing you must have in mind: you should delete all those “read more” in your Joomla , or WordPress will import them as excerpts…. So, when you open your single post in WordPress, there will be no text that is placed as excerpt – just paragraphs below “read more” line in Joomla….

Download Export to WordPress Joomla Plugin.
